Seems that everyone has a dog these days and dogs like to socialize, so here's a list of great places to take your dog. I suppose you could take your dog to most of the places on the Parks List, but here are the best places specifically geared toward dogs:

BULL CREEK DISTRICT PARK

By far the best dog park in Austin. Running water, open fields, and tons of other doggies to play with.

EMMA LONG METROPOLITAN PARK

A very large park on Lake Austin. Lots of lakefront access for the dogs to swim.

HAMILTON GREENBELT

An excellent hiking trail in Lakeway.

PACE BEND PARK

This is the largest of all of the LCRA parks on Lake Travis. You can let your dog run free at this giant 1300 acre park on the lake because they don't have a leash policy there.

PEASE PARK

If you live near campus then this park is a good call since it's local, but it's no comparison to Bull Creek District Park.
